Mr. Ronald Uzzell Barnes, 85, Clayton, NC, departed this life on Monday, December 28, 2020.

Due to COVID-19, the Governor of North Carolina has asked that all gatherings be limited to no more than 30 people including staff and all attendees such as clergy, ushers, musicians etc. Please check with the family to see if you are invited.

Graveside Services will be 12 noon December 30, 2020 at Johnston Piney Grove Cemetery, Barber Mill Road, Clayton, NC. (Face mask/covering required)

Left to cherish Mr. Uzzell’s memories are a daughter, Christine Barnes Merritt (Charles), Watha, NC; a son, Rev. Dr. Roderick Barnes (Patricia), Clayton, NC, Sisters: Dalphine Barnes Flowers, and Mattie Marie Barnes Clemmons, both of Clayton, NC, Minnie Delores Barnes Friend, Lawnside, NJ and  Pam Perry (Charles), Palm Bay, Fla. and  Brother: Reverend Gaddis Barnes, Clayton, NC;  Grandchildren: Antoine Merritt (Tricell), Terrence Merritt, Charles Merritt Jr, Jonella Barnes Brown (Brandon), Jay Brian Barnes, Joseph Benjamin Barnes, Jaysha Barnes, Jacob Brandon Barnes, Sarah Barnes Matthia, and Abraham Uzziah Barnes and 10  great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Services are entrusted to Hood Funeral Home and Staff.
