OBITUARY OF MARIAM LUCY POLYDOROS

“A Gift from God”

 by Tamsen Butler

Mothers are a gift from heaven God uses to demonstrate his love for all children.

No one will ever love you like God or a mother does, but take solace in the fact that you’ll meet again someday.

Myriam Lucy Polydoros, 52, ascended into the arms of our savior peacefully surrounded by her children and family on October 7, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Myriam was born on October 5, 1970 in Brooklyn, New York to Eunide Marie Elise Laurent and Michel Augustave.  She lived in Cabaret, Haiti for the first four years of her life before relocating to Boston, Massachusetts in 1974.  Myriam attended Catholic schools from elementary through high school and is a graduate of Boston College.  She served in the United States Army and pursued a very rewarding and successful career in Nursing serving her patients in the Emergency Room, Intensive Care Units, and as a case manager and traveling nurse.

Myriam most treasured joy was being a loving mother to her children: Medora and Kabelo Saint-Louis, and Elise Polydoros, and becoming the proud grandmother recently to Alta- Marie Saint -Louis.  Along with her children & granddaughter, those left to cherish her memory include her:mother, Eunide Marie Elise Laurent; sisters, Carmel Benjamin and Kerlley Aimé; brothers, John Augustave and Jean Gedeus; Nieces: Charleen and Marlee Benjamin, Janelle Augustave, Shayla, Laurissa and Simoné Foley, Imani and Sarai Gedeus;  Nephews: Kerlenz Benjamin, Javon, Niem and Jalin Augustave, Patrick Foley, Karell, Zaire, Zavier and Zandon Gedeus in addition to all of her extended family and dear friends.

Besides loving, caring and providing for her immediate and extended family, Myriam had  a passion for traveling, fine foods, reading, interior decorating, do-it-yourself projects and the arts.  Myriam was well-known for her striking dimples when she smiled, her bright and affectionate personality and her consistent determination to assist people in need.  As a result of her generosity, she touched so many lives positively all the while maintaining a fervor to live her life everyday to the fullest.

As stated in 2 Timothy 4:7 “She has fought the good fight, she has finished the race, she has kept the faith.”

So we take refuge in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 “For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.”

Thank you Myriam for living such an inspiring life and making sacrifices for all your love ones throughout your time with us.  We love you dearly and will miss you forever.

Do Rest In Eternal Peace!

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for all the uplifting prayers, calls, texts, and messages. During this time of global chaos and uncertainty, your love and care has had a tremendous impact on them. Please continue to keep them in prayer during this difficult time.
