I first met Mrs. Shand at St. Paul Baptist Church in Brooklyn, N.Y. over thirty years ago. I thought that she was the most elegant dressing woman in N.Y. City, not knowing that she was from Clayton
and I grew up in Garner from that day on we became friends. She often came to my Church here in Raleigh and take pictures, especially at
Quartet Singing. Mrs. Shand rest in peace.
