Pierre Saint Louis

NOVEMBER 15, 1934 - DECEMBER 31, 2018 Pierre Saint Louis was born on November 15, 1934 in the small town of Saut-D'Eau, located in the Mirebalais region in the central part of Haiti and passed away peacefully at his home in Raleigh, North Carolina surrounded by loved ones. He met the love of his life, Altagrace Florival in 1958 and they married a year later on October 17, 1959. Mr. Saint Louis will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of nearly 60 years and children: Joseph Marcel, Colette, Layn, Roosevelt, Maggie, Sabrina, Jean, Alta, Yvanne, along with twenty-five grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Saint Louis left Haiti with his wife in 1966 for St. Croix U.S. Virgin Islands. He immigrated to the United States in 1968 settling in Medford, Massachusetts. Mr. Saint Louis received multiple commendations for his 30 years of service to the community from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and City of Boston. God was always put first in everything that Mr. Saint Louis did. He played lead roles in the establishment of four Haitian-American Seventh-Day Adventist churches in the greater Boston area. After retiring to Raleigh, North Carolina in 2005, Mr. Saint Louis helped form a fifth church in 2007. He will be celebrated for his lifelong devotion to God, commitment and loyalty to his friends and colleagues, and unconditional love for his family. Funeral Services will be at 10:00am, Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Gethsemane Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 2525 Sanderford Road, Raleigh, NC 27610. Burial will take place immediately after the service at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 12830 US 70 Business Highway West, Clayton, NC 27520. Viewing will be 9:00- 10:00am. Following the burial there will be a repast at the Raleigh Seventh-Day Adventist Recreation Facility, 4805 Dillard Drive, Raleigh, NC 27606.
